Next thing i am going to add will be a small jib/crane to get the wheels out of the frame while panning.0025

The NAZA controller with the GPS antenna etc has to be on the cam pod too, because the gimbal needs them to be aligned to run.

So when the Gimbal gets turned the gimbal has to think that the quadcopter turned, and that can only be achieved by mounting them together.

That will bring the weight up, and maybe will make it necessary to counterbalance the arm..
